Senior Project Manager/ Engineer - Water + Environment Market (Finance)

Our Water Environment Market has an opening for a senior-level Project Manager with an engineering background to work on projects related to water, wastewater, stormwater/conveyance, and treatment projects. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of project delivery, including pursuit strategy, client interviews, proposal support, project scoping, scheduling, team coordination, budget management, change management, and quality assurance.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor, understanding client goals, and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality solutions that meet expectations.
  • Provide clear direction to multidisciplinary teams, communicate project goals effectively, and promote collaboration to achieve successful outcomes aligned with client and firm objectives.
  • Independently lead and review the planning and detailed design of infrastructure projects such as pump stations, storage facilities, water/wastewater treatment facilities, and conveyance systems. This includes production of master plans, concept through final design, and bid-ready documents.
  • Execute and review design analyses including basis-of-design, asset condition assessments, infrastructure siting, system modeling, and permitting. Manage engineering tasks such as equipment sizing, OPCC development, and technical report preparation.
  • Serve in key roles such as Project Manager, Engineer-of-Record, Technical Advisor, or Quality Control Reviewer to ensure technical integrity, schedule adherence, and compliance with industry and client standards.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of market drivers and resource management to support operational goals, improve project delivery practices, and contribute to business growth.
  • Be recognized across the organization and industry as a credible leader with deep technical expertise and proven experience successfully delivering complex water/wastewater infrastructure projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or other related field is required.
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure is required.
  • 15 years of professional experience working in water, wastewater, stormwater/conveyance, and treatment projects in a consultant capacity is preferred.
  • Proficient working experience with MS Office Suite, MS Project, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, Deltek Vantagepoint, and Power BI software.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare high-quality reports and technical memoranda; preparation and sealing design plans and specifications; strong attention to detail.
  • Strong technical background and experience in designing water/wastewater utility systems, pipelines, pump stations, storage, treatment plants, and control measures.
  • Proven experience in developing project plans, anticipating and addressing project issues, leading meetings with clients, and directing the completion of technical reports and designs.
