Maintenance Planner (Maintenance)

Here's What You'll Get To Do

 Work within applicable policies, procedures, quality, safety, environmental, regulatory and industry standards 

  • Maintain current equipment records and asset data base within the CMMS 
  • Update CMMS system as required to ensure adequate preventative maintenance 
  • Manage the Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Work Order (WO) process for manufacturing related processes & equipment 
  • Review, optimize, update and enroll new Preventive Maintenance tasks 
  • Create work plan (including work orders) for each member of the maintenance staff 
  • Plan materials, special tools and outside services requirements for all planned work 
  • Collecting necessary engineering drawings, technical documents and specifications and attaching them to the work order 
  • Create, use, and maintain plant history and other technical files to include information in current job plans to anticipate and avoid job delays. 
  • Communicate between the Maintenance team, Vendors (Services) and Spare parts Inventory functions in the planning of preventive maintenance tasks 
  • Review that good documentation practices are followed 
  • Manage the change control process for changes to be made to preventive maintenance tasks 
  • Work with Technicians to identify parts required to complete maintenance tasks 
  • Provide updates and report data to management regarding PM completion and effectiveness 
  • Accurately track metrics on the performance of planning functions. Provide reports to the maintenance manager 
  • Coordinates daily and weekly maintenance work planning meetings 
  • May be required to procure and/or supervise contract trade personnel/services in support of maintenance activities 
  • Stage materials for jobs and special tools that as required 
  • Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals, P&ID's and developing and maintain accuracy of equipment metadata by regularly collecting and inputting information, such as; manufacturer, model, serial number, and system structure information 
  • Supports Maintenance goals for continuous improvement as a part of the Maintenance Equipment Excellence 

Here's What We're Looking For

  • Advanced computer skills with extensive knowledge and experience in the complete Microsoft package's 
  • Previous experience in Maintenance planning required 
  • Previous experience working with a ERP / CMMS system for maintenance required 
  • Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably metal extrusion required 
  • Technical engineering background or trade skill set required 
  • 5S experience and knowledge 
  • RCA and RCM experience
