Quality Engineer (Finance)

Job Details
  • Position Type: Full-Time, Salaried (Exempt)
  • Pay Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (based on skills and experience)
  • Work Location: Onsite - Saegertown, Pennsylvania
  • Travel: Minimal
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain quality standards for products, processes, and systems
  • Recommend and implement changes to prevent defects and improve product quality
  • Collaborate with design, production, and supply chain teams to identify and address quality risks
  • Conduct audits of processes, raw materials, and suppliers; document findings and recommend corrective actions
  • Investigate non-conformities through root cause analysis and support corrective/preventive actions
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF, and other relevant standards; support external audits
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation including NCRs, root cause reports, and corrective action records
  • Participate in APQP activities; develop and update Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and FMEAs
  • Manage and submit PPAP documentation per customer and industry standards; ensure timely approvals
  • Support Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies; uphold 5S workplace standards
Skills/Competencies
  • Solid understanding of quality principles, inspection techniques, and standards (e.g., SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to collaborate across teams to achieve quality objectives
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues
Qualifications (Required)
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field
  • Experience: 2-4 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Required to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending and stooping required.
  • Must have the dexterity to handle small objects.
  • Must be able to work in noisy environments.
