Senior Business Development Manager (Legal)

Job Description:

Epiq is partnering with a global law firm to place a Senior Business Development Manager, who will be part of the global marketing and business development team supporting the Litigation practice. This position can be based in their Washington DC office.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Working with lawyers in assigned practices, individually and as groups, to develop, implement and execute business development plans, initiatives, and activities.
  • Creating, customizing, and updating pitch materials, directory submissions, and other marketing content to ensure they are well-written and positioned appropriately towards target audiences.
  • Monitoring business, legal, and geopolitical news to identify strategic opportunities for individual partners and practice groups.
  • Planning, executing, and conducting follow-up as appropriate from client events and webinars, as well as other thought leadership campaigns.
  • Serving as the business development lead for onboarding and integration of assigned lateral partners.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Candidate should have a bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field, with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in professional services or law firm business development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills are critical to success as are collegial, collaborative, and team player attributes.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter who thrives on juggling numerous high visibility projects on fast timetables and can handle high-pressure environments. Candidate should have strong to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and some knowledge of applications specific to the legal field.

The Compensation range for this role is 159,000 to 199,565 per year and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
