Facilities Supervisor (Project Management)

FACILITIES SUPERVISOR
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the organizations facilities are safe, secure, well-maintained, and responsive to the needs of staff, clients, and visitors. This position oversees facility operations, coordinates safety and security initiatives, and supports emergency preparedness efforts to maintain an environment that is welcoming, efficient, and aligned with the agencys mission.
The Facilities Supervisor reports to the Director of Campus Operations. The position exercises direct supervision over assigned staff, including reception, and provides oversight of contracted security staff. The Facilities Supervisor also serves as the Campus Coordinator during business hours and provides guidance and coordination for other staff serving in that role, ensuring consistency in safety and security practices. The Facilities Supervisor also serves as the Agency Lead Safety Captain.

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge
Sufficient education, training and experience which demonstrates possession of the following knowledge:Principles, practices, and methods of facilities management, maintenance, and custodial operations.Safety and security protocols, emergency preparedness procedures, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, The Joint Commission, etc.).Office administration, procurement, inventory control, and vendor management.Record keeping, reporting, and documentation requirements for facilities, safety, and security operations.Agency policies and procedures, confidentiality standards (including HIPAA), and customer service expectations.Computer systems and software commonly used for facilities tracking, reporting, and project management (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Smartsheet, or similar).
Ability
Sufficient education, training and experience which demonstratesthe possession of the following abilities:
Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks and projects across diverse functional areas.Lead, supervise, and evaluate assigned staff, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.Oversee contractors and ensure accountability for contracted services.Respond effectively to emergencies, incidents, and urgent operational issues.Communicate clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing, with staff, leadership, clients, and external partners.Analyze data, generate reports, and use information to make informed operational decisions.Maintain a visible presence on campus, balancing hands-on participation with managerial oversight.Adapt to changing priorities, work independently, and exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
Education
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.Associate or bachelors degree in facilities management, business administration, or related field preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in facilities operations, operations, or a related field, including supervisory experience required.Minimum of 1 year of experience coordinating safety, security, or emergency preparedness programs is highly desirable.
